A real WordPress site running AskMyPages
Riverbend Health Workers Union is made up, but everything you can do here is real. Its pages, news posts and PDFs are indexed by AskMyPages, so visitors can search by meaning and get short answers that link to the exact page they came from.
1 · What is indexed
PDFs in the Media Library, ready to answer
These three PDFs were uploaded to the Media Library like any other file. AskMyPages read their text and made them searchable, so answers can point to the right page of the right document.
Collective Agreement 2026–2029
PDF · 14 pages
Indexed · ready to answer
Plus 9 pages and 4 news posts. New and edited posts, pages and PDFs are picked up automatically; drafts and private content never are.
2 · Search
The search box understands what people mean
By meaning
Finds the right page even when it uses different words.
“help paying for a course” finds the education fund.
“can my boss make me stay late” finds the overtime rules.
By exact words
Names, numbers and terms still match exactly.
“night premium” finds the news post and the pay rates.
“dental” finds the benefits summary.
It uses the theme’s own search box and results page, so nothing about the site’s design changes.
3 · Answers and chat
A direct answer above the results, then follow-up questions
Search a question and an answer card appears above the results. One click answers it, with numbered links to the sources. Follow-up questions continue in the chat, which is also on every page under Ask a question. Try “how many vacation days do I get after 5 years”.
Answers come only from this site. If the site does not cover something, the assistant says so instead of guessing.
4 · Your theme
Looks like it belongs to the site
Nothing here was styled by hand. The chat and the answer card take the site’s colours and font, and follow its light or dark background. You can also pick your own colour, and change the wording of buttons and messages.
